The middle of the night has been identified over and over again to be the best time to meditate, be productive (only if your day was not stressful), restrategize, and for men of the underworld, to perpetuate evil.

While I sat down there, on my blue plastic chair, meditating on God’s word, frequently, this one mosquito kept distracting me. Well, it could have only been one mosquito because I had just had my room flitted the previous night. My meditation begins at 11pm, everyday.

Initially, it was getting on my nerves and getting me frustrated because I was trying as much as I could to have a meditation of what I really want in life. Of course, that’s not the first time I had asked myself that question. For every time I asked myself, prior then, it seemed as though I had different answers. Just maybe, I really don’t know what I want in life.

As I sat down there that night, occasionally disturbed by a mosquito I’d tried all means to kill, I had to think of a better way to meditate while giving less attention to the ‘nuisance.’
It then occurred to me that I could just cover myself with my wrapper, from head to toe. That way, although the buzzing would be heard, my ears and other targeted parts of my body are safe from devouring.

With fifty percent of the problem solved, I was determined to pay less attention to the other distracting fifty percent. Not quite long, I noticed the buzzing reverberated within my hearing longer than expected. Only God knew how long the unrepentant mosquito had been buzzing.

While the sound lingered still, one thing occurred to me.

No matter how loud the buzzing became, I was one hundred percent sure that it had no blood to suck.

“Targeted prey is secure.”

That sounded and hit different.

Listen, when you are so sure of what backs you up, you can sleep in a boisterous storm. When you’re certain of how secured you are under His arm, even when the devourers implement nasty tactics, you’ll remain unshaken.
